New Zealand Labour Party leader Jacinda Ardern, who led her party to a landslide victory and became the Prime Minister for the second term announced her new cabinet.

In Jacinda Ardern's new cabinet, 41-year-old Indian-origin Priyanca Radhakrishnan was assigned the Ministery of Community and Voluntary Sector. She has been sworn in as the Minister.

Priyanca Radhakrishnan, who has been in active politics since 2004 was elected to the New Zealand parliament in 2017. She has served as the Member of Parliament from Auckland for two terms.

Prince Radhakrishnan, who is a native of Ernakulam in God's own country Kerala was shifted to New Zealand to pursue her further education after completing her schooling in Singapore.

The Prime Minister surprised everyone by appointing former Finance Minister Grant Robertson as the Deputy Prime Minister of the island country. Grant Robertson, who becomes the first openly gay person to be made Deputy CM, will also hold the Finance Ministry.

Jacinda Ardern who led New Zealand to combat the pandemic when superpower nations failed to contain Covid-19 said, her top priority to get the economy recover amid the Covid-19 outbreak.
