Following the severe backlash, The White House announced Green Card holders have been exempted from Immigration ban. Even Green Card Holders who were on foreign trips needn't worry about the ban.

Law-abiding Permanent Residents of the USA can travel in US-bound planes but they will be permitted only after necessary security checks at the airports'.
As per Trump's executive order, Citizens of Iran, Iraq, Syria, Libya, Somalia, Yemen and Sudan can't be permitted to stay in United States until further orders were issued. Airlines began preventing citizens from these banned countries from boarding flights to USA.
