GST - A Big Failure in several Nations: KCR
By: Tupaki Desk | 8 Aug 2017 5:40 AM GMTTelangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao declared Goods & Services Tax (GST) is a failure in several Nations. He made it clear success of GST in India depends on how well Centre handles the concerns.
Speaking to media at Pragathi Bhavan, KCR opined Centre kept receiving numerous complaints even after a month of GST roll out as it didn't receive unanimous acceptance from the people. He sought centre to either grant exemptions or reduce the slab rates for projects such as Mission Bhagiratha, Mission Kakatiya, Irrigation Projects, Power Projects and 2BHK Scheme.
TRS Supremo will be penning a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on this matter. He decided to proceed legally depending on the response from PMO to the objections raised by him.
KCR came to conclusion that TRS Government will have to bear the burden of Rs 19,500 crore due to implementation of GST.
