Never been before so many hundreds of crores were invested on political bettings in AP. This is happening due to the 42 days gap between the Polling and Counting. While the Polling took place on April 11th, Counting would be on May 23rd. Whoever might win the bets, Middlemen who charge the commission will be the ultimate winner.
There are many crucial constituencies in AP known to be hot cakes such as Gajuwaka, Bhimavaram, Mangalagiri, Visakha, Nagari, Gudiwada, Guntur and Anantapur. Gudiwada is one segment where there is humongous craze for the bettings. This is because of various factors...1) Kodali Nani is a 3-Time MLA, 2) TDP which is desperate to defeat him fielded Devineni Nehru's Son Avinash, 3) Attempts were made to influence the voters in many ways.
Kodali Nani have an edge in Gudiwada. People of Gudiwada trust him so much irrespective of the party he works for. Apart from his own supporters base, Kodali have the support of YCP Cadre and Supporters. Even Jana Sena Supporters have been backing him due to the Pro-Pawan Statements issued by him during the poll campaigning. On the other hand, Devineni Avinash doesn't have much supporters base.
