BJP won the crucial Assembly Polls in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh. While Congress gave a tough fight to BJP in Modi's home state, The saffron party had a clear upper in Himachal.

BJP: 99 seats
Congress: 80 seats
Others: 3 seats
Himachal Pradesh Assembly Polls 2017 Results (68):
BJP: 44 seats
Congress: 21 seats
Others: 3 seats
Prime Minister Narendra Modi opined the election results were an indication of people's support for politics of good governance and development. 'I salute the hardworking BJP karyakartas in these states for their hardwork. BJP will leave no stone unturned in serving the people Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh,' he wrote.
