AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday offered a powerpoint presentation to the National Media in New Delhi about the injustice being done by NDA Government. Quickly, BJP Leaders launched counter attack against the TDP Supremo.
Union Minister Prakash Javadekar & MP GVL Narasimha Rao convened a press conference. They found fault with Chandrababu by commenting, 'The Ambassador Car promised by Father-in-Law at the time of wedding is no more available in the market. Then, Son-in-Law has to agree for the new car. Whereas, Chandrababu has been seeking the same car which isn't manufactured anymore'.
Prakash Javadekar alleged Chandrababu Naidu who is BJP's old partner has been criticizing them by giving least importance to the development of state. 'We sanctioned Educational Institutions for AP in short span of time. Granted IIT, IIM & IIIT. Works of Tribal University has begun. We are sanctioning funds for Polavaram Project as well. We invested hugely on Highways and Petroleum Projects. We don't hold grudge on any State. We are for everyone's well-being. It's unfair to say TDP lost 15 seats because of alliance with BJP. How could TDP spread such a bad propaganda (YCP-BJP secret deal)? Other States have been complaining that Centre has been sanctioning more funds to AP. We are pacifying them saying AP don't have a capital,' he said.
GVL Narasimha Rao: 'TDP has been making baseless allegations. The powerpoint presentation lacks punch. Chandrababu believes allegations will fetch him political mileage. Compared to UPA, We have offered 107 percent more funds to AP. Instead of praising, Allegations have been made against BJP. We have given huge funds to AP but Chandrababu has cheated people. No state was accorded Special Status. Raghuram Rajan Committee recommended Centre not to grant Special Status to any state. Though Special Status isn't practical anymore, Chandrababu Naidu demands the same thing. Centre offered Rs 1000 crore for drainage system in Capital. TDP Govt says it spent only Rs 200 crore so far. Even the funds for backward districts weren't utilized. What is Special Status? Let them show at least a document. Congress has done injustice to AP and now it is trying to cheat people again with Special Status. Development is our slogan'.
