This move is gonna affect close to 7.5 lakh Indian Techies in US and even their families could be deported if the bill gets passed.
Much to the relief of Indian Techies, US Authorities on Tuesday assured Trump Administration isn't gonna move any proposal to force H-1B visa holders to leave the nation. An Official informed USCIS isn't considering a regulatory change that would force H-1B visa holders to leave the United States. Which means, There is no problem for H-1B visa extensions for 6 year period. Even if there is any such new Law, Employers could seek extensions in one year increments as per section 106(a)-(b) of AC21.
Every year, About 65,000 H-1B visas have been issued in general category and another 20,000 visas are for applicants wishing to have higher education such as Masters in US Universities. H-1B Visa programme allows Companies to hire highly skilled foreign professionals. Donald Trump's Buy American, Hire American campaign has increased the insecurities among Indians staying in US.
