H-1B Visa Applicants Worried With USCIS's New Rules!

No matter what the craze for America will not come down. Despite the waiting period increasing regularly Indians are not leaving their American dreams. The US Consulate is giving its best in addressing the ever-growing demand and a new Consulate building was built in Hyderabad with all the required facilities. Recently, we heard reports that the student visa slots were filled like hotcakes in a few Consulates.
A piece of news is said to have been announced by the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) for the H-1B visa applicants and they are not happy with this. They are worried that their chances would be restricted with the new model that will be implemented in picking the visas.
The US H-1B visas will be picked in a lottery system and those who are lucky will get picked. This has been the system for a long time. But the practice will not be the same from now on as the USCIS looked into the violations of the practice and wants to put an end to this.
The US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) said that for 2024 only 85,000 slots were permitted and for that, a massive number of applications(781,000)were received. Expressing concerns about the said, the body had started a crackdown on multiple applications filed by applicants to have an advantage over others.
To counter the violations, the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) said that the applications should give an attestation while registering for the visa saying that all the information is true. Once this gets implemented then the applicants cannot continue to take advantage of the existing lottery system. This should be seen as a big blow to the applicants.
The applicants' application can be canceled if any violation is found. The USCIS is making sure that no malpractice takes place in the process. With the body showing special interests, the applicants cannot try their luck as they have done so far.
Many applicants file multiple applications with the help of consultants to boost their chances of getting picked for the visa slots. But now they cannot do that and the money companies pay for the candidates was also increased so that multiple applicants will not be filed.
