Hackers Stealing Indians Data via WhatsApp

Indian Army released a video alleging Chinese Hackers has been targeting Indians via WhatsApp.
In the video shared from the official Twitter Handle, Army advised Indians to use WhatsApp safely. The Additional Directorate General of Public Interface (ADGPI) alleged Chinese Hackers target WhatsApp Groups to hack into your system.
Chinese Numbers starting with +86 barge into WhatsApp Groups and steal all the data. Citizens were advised to regularly check if any number in their groups starts with +86. Even people of the country were advised to destroy their SIM completely if they change it for any reason.
This caution came four months after Indian Soldiers posted along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) were warned by Army not to use many applications including WhatsApp.
