Hang Them One By One: Nirbhaya's Mother
By: Tupaki Desk | 20 Jan 2020 3:56 PM GMTThe Supreme Court on Monday dismissed the petition filed by Pawan Kumar Gupta, one of the convicts of 2012 Delhi Gangrape Case, claiming to be a Juvenile when the crime happened.
Advocate AP Singh who appeared for Pawan Kumar Gupta told the court that his client was a minor at the time of offence in 2012 according to the birth certificate and school leaving certificate. However, The Apex Court maintained there is no strong point to overturn the High Court order of death penalty to the convicts of Delhi Gangrape Case.
Reacting on the same, Nirbhaya's Mother Asha Devi alleged 2012 Delhi Gangrape Convicts have been toying with the Law to delay the execution. She demanded hanging of all the convicts one by one to make them understand the consequences of playing with Law. 'I will be satisfied only when the convicts are hanged on February 1st, 2020,' says the Victim's Mother.
As a last resort to delay the death penalty, Pawan Kumar Gupta approached the Supreme Court and sought orders to halt the execution. The Supreme Court, however, didn't entertain the tactic meant to delay the execution. Finally, Parents of Nirbhaya will get justice after 7 years.
