Comments made by Harish Rao in Siddipet fueled the rumours of his retirement from politics due to the elevation of KTR as KCR's Successor.
Harish Rao, however, condemned the reports and explained: 'There is nothing sensational about it. On that day, All the villagers had come to meet Me to convey they would vote for Me despite heavy downpour. In that emotional moment, I said I feel like quitting politics during the period when people are showering so much love'.
The Irrigation Minister questioned why would he be upset when KCR offered him Siddipet Ticket once again. 'Already, 5 Villages in this constituency passed a resolution to vote for Me unanimously. I could win with a record majority. We are all working under KCR's leadership. There is no scope for second thoughts. TRS is all set to win 100 seats. KCR is known for credibility. Telangana achieved great progress under KCR rule. Even people have the same feeling. Opposition Leaders keep fighting for CM Chair. After Chennareddy, Janardhan Reddy has arrived. Post the sudden demise of YSR, Rosaiah and Kiran Kumar Reddy had become CM. That's how it's going to be if Congress comes to power,' he said.
