Why Harish Talked About Retirement?
By: Tupaki Desk | 22 Sep 2018 5:01 AM GMTIs TRS losing confidence in itself? Is it feeling that winning a bare majority too would be difficult? It appears so. Not one, but two senior TRS leaders have said something that they have never said. Both have spoken about either retirement from politis or not getting a ministry. Interestingly, both the leaders said this in election meetings with party workers.
The first one to say that is Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao. Tummala told party workers from Sattupalli that if he does not win majority seats in Khammam district, the party may not make him a minister. So, he asked the party workers to strain their every nerve to ensure that the TRS wins in Khammam district. He also told them that winning Sattupalli was key to his success.
The second leader to talk about bleak future is none other than Harish Rao himself. Harish Rao was in Ibrahimpatnam the other day. The whole village took a pledge supporting him in the elections. But, immediately after that Harish said that he wanted to retire from politics. "I feel like retiring from politics," he said. Has the KCR's plan of confining him to Siddipet and his decision to make KTR the next chief minister, made Harish speak like this?
Whatever, it is clear that Harish is not too happy with the goings on within the TRS. He is increasingly finding himself isolated. Did this have an effect on him? When KTR says the party can win 100 seats, why are these leaders talking of either retirement or not getting a ministry?
