Dalit Leader Touches Chandrababu's Feet, But Fails To Get MP Ticket
By: Tupaki Desk | 20 March 2019 4:20 AM GMTGV Harsha Kumar is one firebrand leader, who minces no words. He had the gumption to take on the might of YSR in his heyday. A Dalit leader, he grew up through student movements and agitations. He was always known for his strident opposition to the TDP.
So, it was a shock to see him falling flat before TDP boss and chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu. He fell at the feet of Chandrababu while joining the Congress. Here was a two-time MP, who was the staunchest critic of Chandrababu Naidu, touching Chandrababu's feet. He left the party founded by former CM Kiran Kumar Reddy to join the TDP. It was quite a come down for this leader. Many Dalit organisations too were shocked to see Harsha Kumar touching Chandrababu's feet.
He wanted to contest from Amalapuram Lok Sabha seat and felt that the TDP's sitting MP Pandula Ravindra's joining of the YSRCP would help him. He felt Chandrababu would make him the MP candidate from the TDP from Amalapuram. But, Chandrababu being Chandrababu, gave him a shock when he made former speaker Balayogi's son as the MP candidate. This left Harsha Kumar in the lurch. What will Harsha Kumar do and whose feet will he touch now?
