Social Distancing Might Be Followed Till 2022; Harvard University Study
By: Tupaki Desk | 15 April 2020 12:10 PM GMTIn the wake of the lockdown extended in Indis with the rise of the positive cases of COVID-19, the new study carried out by the researchers of Harvard University has found out that the social distancing might be needed till 2022 as there is no vaccine for the pandemic.
The researchers have also studied the impact of the pandemic as the positive cases and deaths following the deaths of COVID surpassed 25,000 in the US. The study has found out that the virus might evolve as a seasonal disease like cold and flu.
Though the social distancing is advisable, the COVID -19 tests should be done at regular intervals to extract good results. The immunity will not get better with social distancing but the virus can be stopped from spreading further.
"When social distancing is relaxed when virus transmissibility is heightened in the fall, an intense winter outbreak may occur, overlapping with the flu season, and overwhelm hospitals," the study said.
The study has also come up with a piece of good news for Indians that people with good immunity power can survive with the virus which is coincidentally quite high when compared to other nations.
The vaccine is the ultimate key to eradicate the global pandemic as no vaccine or cure was found for this we may have to just follow the instructions and precautions issued by the governments and WHO.
