Punjab and Haryana High Court didn't even spare Centre and Prime Minister while responding on the violence post the conviction of Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh.
When Additional Solicitor General Satya Pal Jain, who represented Centre, told states need to take responsibility for violence, The HC Judge fumed, 'Is Haryana not a part of India? Why Punjab and Haryana are treated like step-children? He is PM of India not BJP'.
High Court slammed Haryana Government for allowing 1.5 lakh followers of Ram Rahim and his 200 car convoy enter Panchkula on the day of verdict. 'There are political motives behind letting a city like Panchkula burn. A small DCP of Panchkula was made a victim. What about those political masters behind the violence?,' The Judges questioned.
CPM Leader Sitaram Yechury alleged Ruling Parties have been soft on Dera Chief because Ram Rahim supported BJP during 2014 General Elections, and Assembly Polls in Haryana and Punjab.
