Has Amit Shah launched his operation TDP in Andhra Pradesh? It appears so. Barely days after Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan spoke about aligning with Chandrababu Naidu to defeat the YSRCP in the 2024 elections, Amit Shah has unveiled his plans. He is said to have organised a secret meeting of Pawan Kalyan with Amit Shah.
If sources serve us right, BJP organising secretary BL Santosh himself personally met Pawan Kalyan and escorted him to Delhi. Pawan and Santosh landed at the Safdarjung airport and reportedly went straight to Amit Shah's residence. If sources are to be believed, Amit Shah is said to have told Pawan Kalyan that the BJP has no problem joining hands with Chandrababu Naidu and that it has no love lost for YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
But, at the same time, the BJP was willing to join hands with TDP is Pawan Kalyan is made the joint CM candidate. He wanted the TDP to support this proposal and added that the BJP would fully support this. He reportedly said that the BJP did not want to support YS Jagan and added that the BJP cadres were unhappy at the spurt in the proselytising activities in AP since YS Jagan took over.
Amit Shah reportedly suggested that the TDP should join the NDA and take one or two ministerial posts in the NDA government. It remains to be seen how the TDP reacts to these two proposals. If the TDP does not agree to either of the proposals, then there would be no possibility of alliance. It remains to be seen how Pawan would react to these proposals.
