Has Jagan Mediated Between KCR, Modi?
By: Tupaki Desk | 5 Oct 2019 4:42 AM GMTIs YS Jagan playing the cupid to enable political love sprout between the TRS and the BJP? It appears so. It appears that YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is trying to patch up between Modi and KCR. The first ever meeting of KCR with Modi too is said to be courtesy YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, according to highly placed sources.
Ever since the BJP won four Lok Sabha seats in Telangana, the relationship between the TRS and the BJP has soured. The BJP has not taken kindly to the TRS attempts to form an anti-BJP Federal Front. The BJP was also upset over reports that KCR has funded some anti-BJP parties in the Lok Sabha elections. With the BJP winning over 300 seats, the TRS was no longer useless and in his typical vendetta style, Modi has completely ignored KCR. The Telangana CM could not secure an appointment with Narendra Modi even after four months of the latter getting sworn in.
Now, the Telangana BJP is baying for KCR's blood and the gap between the two parties has only widened. The BJP in Telangana is on the attack mode and the TRS counter-attack looks weak and emaciated. The widespread allegations of corruption in the TRS government is now being used by the BJP to attack TRS and KCR.
Amid all this, KCR managed to secure an appointment with Modi. Highly placed sources said that YS Jagan played an important role in facilitating this meeting. It is being rumoured that Jagan mediated between the BJP biggies and KCR and ensured that Modi gives an appointment to his Telangana counterpart. He is said to have told KCR in no uncertain terms that he should not antagonise Modi. Interestingly, Jagan is also going to meet Modi one of these days. This is giving rise to speculations that Jagan is becoming more important in Modi's scheme of things.
