Has Kala Venkat Rao gains an upper hand over Atchen Naidu?

The turf war between two senior North Andhra hands of the Telugu Desam Party is getting murkier and murkier. Both present AP unit president Atchen Naidu and former AP president Kala Venkat Rao are involved in a battle for supremacy in Srikakulam district. Both are strong leaders and both are TDP loyalists to the core. But, it appears that the pendulum is swinging in favour of Kala Venkat Rao these days.
Sources say that Atchen Naidu was for long Chandrababu Naidu's blue-eyed boy. On his part, Atchen Naidu never disappointed Chandrababu with his fire works and attack on the YSRCP. But, of late, the relations between Atchen and Chandrababu appear to have deteriorated. Sources say Chandrababu has not taken kindly to the disparaging comments made by Atchen about the party and its future.
It may be recalled that in a casual conversation, he said "Party Ledu Bokka Ledu". Not just that, he had also cast doubts about the leadership qualities of Nara Lokesh. Since then, Chandrababu Naidu has stopped giving importance to Atchen Naidu. He has kept Atchen Naidu at a distance.
Recently, Nara Lokesh went on a tour of Srikakulam district. He went straight to Kala Venkat Rao's house and called all party leaders to the same house for discussion. Clearly, he gave a lot of importance to Kala Venkat Rao. He is also encouraging former minister Kondru Murali Mohan. Thus, he has clearly shown that he is with the Kala Venkat Rao and not Atchen Naidu..
Now, Kala wants Etcherla for either himself or for his son. He also wants his candidate for Rajam. However, Atchen Naidu s promoting Kalisetti Appala Naidu for Etcherla and former speaker Pratibha Bharathi's daughter Greeshma for Rajam. Whose word will prevail? Who will have the last laugh? Does it mean that Kala has gained an upper hand over Atchen?
