Has KCR taken direct control of MLC election campaign?
By: Tupaki Desk | 28 Feb 2021 7:34 AM GMTIt appears KCR has firmly taken control of the party campaign for the Graduate Constituency MLC elections himself. Having burnt fingers after giving responsibility of Dubbak elections to Harish Rao and GHMC elections to KTR, he now appears to have come to the conclusion that he himself should take reins of the party's election campaign.
Sources say that on Friday night, he reportedly chided key ministers for unnecessarily raking up the issue of job creation. By raking up the issue, the TRS has given an opportunity to the BJP and the Congress to challenge them. The TRS spokespersons had cut a sorry figure in the TV debates. KCR was reportedly upset over this and has said that they should from now on do what he says. He is also said to have expressed anger over some of the TRS leaders making comments against Ayodhya and Hindutwa. He reportedly felt that these comments were doing more damage to the party's image.
KCR is also said to have directed the seven ministers who have been given the responsibility of Graduate MLC elections to stay put in the areas assigned to them till the polling day. He is said to have called up the government employees union leaders directly. This has assumed significance in view of the anger among the latter over the delay in implementing PRC and fitment. Thus, it is clear that KCR himself will now be directing the electoral war.
