Guess, what's the pay package of Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella per annum? Its absoluely $84 million (Rs 520 crore) per annum. The other day, Microsoft shareholders have given approval to the package of their CEO.
Actually, Investor Advisory Group informed Microsoft that it was paying too much salary to its CEO Satya Nadella. In the voting held during the annual shareholders meeting on Wednesday, 72 percent of shareholders voted in favour of Mr. Nadella.
A percentage below 70 would have prompted Microsoft to review its decision.
Luckily, Satya Nadella just managed to pass the border line to emerge as one of the highest paid CEOs in the World.
Microsoft is also keen on offering an annual grant of $13 million (Rs 80 crore) from next fiscal year. John Thompson, The Chairman of the software gaint, claims the high pay package is to attract and motivate his CEO.
