The TDP is finding itself in a piquant position these days. It is unable to explain where is Chandrababu Naidu and his son Lokesh even as the state is passing through the Lockdown period. Though due to the lockdown, no leader is allowed to move on streets, their presence in the state is a confidence booster for the party and for the people at large.
Unfortunately for the TDP, Chandrababu Naidu has gone to Hyderabad on Saturday (March 22). The following day was Janata Curfew. Soon after the Janata Curfew was lifted, Prime Minister Modi announced Lockdown. As a result, Chandrababu could not come back to AP and now for about 21 days, he is locked up in Hyderabad. In the event of lockdown being extended, his stay in Hyderabad will be longer. Not just he, his son Lokesh too is in Hyderabad. Thus, Chandrababu Naidu is the only major politician in the country, an Opposition leader at that, to stay out of his state.
So, all his review meeting and emails are unable to enthuse party workers. They are unable to reply to the verbal assaults by the YSRCP leaders.
