Sri Lanka's left hand batsmen Kumar Sangakkara created record in worldcup by scoring four back to back centuries.

Sanga and Tilakratne Dilshan both cracked individual hundreds against Scotland in their 2015 World Cup league match today at Hobart and this is the fourth consecutive century for Sanga in the world cup.

Sangakkara also completed his 25 th ODI century and also became the first batsman to score four consecutive centuries in a single World Cup and also in ODIs. Sanga reached his 50 in 56 balls and he just took thirty balls to reach his 25 th century.

The Sri Lankan wicketkeeper batsman has overall 5 tons in World Cup and he is next to Indian legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar, who has the most World Cup centuries with 6. Australian batsman ponting also scored five centuries in worldcup.

The previous record of three ODI hundreds in a row was held by five batsmen; Pakistan's Zaheer Abbas, Saeed Anwar, South Africa's Herschelle Gibbs, AB De Villiers, Quinton De Kock and New Zealand's Ross Taylor.
