Adding fuel to the concerns raised by the experts, a health worker in Portugal reportedly died, two days after getting the Pfizer vaccine.
Going into details, 41-year-old Sonia Acevedo got the vaccine developed by Pfizer on the 30th of December. She got the vaccine as she renders her drive as a frontline worker.
Two days after getting the vaccine, i.e., on New Year's day, she breathed her last. Her sudden death at her home raised many questions about the safety standards of the vaccine.
Sonia Acevedo's father Abilio Acevedo spoke to the media about the sad incident and requested the authorities to launch a probe to know the reasons behind her death.
He rubbished the reports of her having health problems in the past. Abilio Acevedo said she didn't have any health issues earlier. She didn't have any adverse symptoms after taking the vaccine.
The American based pharma company Pfizer is yet to make a comment on the sudden development. The statement from the pharma company is awaited.
