22 People died due to Lightening Strikes in AP

The multiple lightening-strikes on Sunday killed at least 22 people in five districts of Andhra Pradesh. This is the for the first time in the recent years so many people passed away in a single day due to the nature's fury.
Heavy downpour followed by lightening have ruined the lives of people working in the farms. About 6 deaths were recorded in Nellore district. Krishna and Prakasam shared the second spot jointly with four each. While three of them have been in Guntur, Two people breathed their last in East Godavari.
Women Cricketers playing a practice match at the Andhra Cricket Association's stadium in Perecherla of Guntur district had a miraculous escape. A lightening struck the palm tree located next to the stadium while the match was going on and the Authorities rushed the players into a safe building immediately.
AP Government announced Ex-Gratia of Rs 4 lakh to the families of the deceased on humanitarian grounds.
