Pic Of The Day: Heavy Rush at Metro Stations!

Hyderabadis competed to experience Metro Rail ride when the operations had finally began on Wednesday. There was mad rush at inter-changing station in Ameerpet and stations at Miyapur & Nagole. Due to the presence of too many passengers at the stations, Metro Rail stopped for 2 minutes instead of 20 seconds.
Some of pictures captured at the stations were a bit scary to watch as there is every possibility of a stampede. Hundreds of people have been rushing to board the Metro Rail at once. Some of them weren't able to catch the train in the first few attempts due to the heavy rush.
Metro Rail Management is considering extending the Timings from existing 6 am to 10 pm to 5.30 am to 11 pm after the rousing response. In addition to the 14 Metro Trains, Few more Trains will be operated in the 30-km stretch in the coming days.
On Day 1, Some of the Token Vending Machines hadn't worked properly. Management is focusing on addressing such minor issues.
Penalties have been imposed on People who travelled in Metro Rail much more distance than for what they purchased the ticket. A fine of Rs 5 to 10 was collected from such people.
