On Wednesday, Google said its researchers have solved the calculation in 3 minutes and 20 seconds and the largest computers cannot complete in under 10,000 years. With that calculation, the company has achieved a milestone that scientists have been working since the 1980s and the breakthrough is called, "Quantum Computing."It allows new computers to do the calculation that is inconceivable with today's technology.
The idea behind Quantum Computing is to increase the processing speed and power of computers. Rather than storing information in binary 0s or 1s, Quantum Computers use 'qubits', which can be both 0 and 1. Simultaneously increasing the amount that can be processed.
