Telangana government has called tenders for new liquor policy, and to the surprise, many applications were received and most of the applications were in the name of women. Applications were mainly received from Hyderabad and Rangareddy districts.
The new liquor policy and new liquor shops will come into effect from November 1. Most of the tenders were filed in the name of their mother, daughter, and wife, and daughter-in-law.
There are 595 liquor shops, 8692 applications were filed, 5064 applications were received on Wednesday, as it was the last day. The excise department has got 173.84 crores revenue with the tenders filed in Hyderabad and Rangareddy. Today, we have to see, as their luck will be drawn today.
