1,500 kg Heroin worth Rs 3,500 crore seized

The Indian Coast Guard seized 1,500 kg Heroin worth Rs 3,500 crore from the merchant vessel off Gujarat coast.
Samudra Pavak (Coast Guard's Ship) began the search operation for the vessel carrying huge quantity of drugs on July 27th. By Saturday noon, Ships and Aircraft of the Coast Guard succeeded in tracing it with proper information given by IB.
This is the biggest single drugs racket busted by the Coast Guard till date. The ship was brought to Porbandar in Gujarat Today morning. Coast Guard, Customs, Navy, Intelligence Bureau and Police have been conducting a joint investigation.
Intelligence Bureau succeeded in foiling the attempt of drug smugglers. Imagine, How big the damage could have been had if the drugs were dispatched to all the locations it's slated to reach!
