Heroine hints about TRS-Congress merger
By: Tupaki Desk | 27 Feb 2014 4:42 PM GMT Veteran actress turned politician and Medak MP Vijaya Shanti officially joined in Congress party. Vijaya Shanti who was with TRS is not happy with the partys decisions off late.
Vijayashanthi joined Congress at a time when the possibility of TRS merging with Congress seemed to have hit a blockade .The joining if the Vijaya shanthi indicates the non-possibility of merger,
The veteran heroine met AICC chief Sonia Gandhi after which the decision of her joining the party was announced.Congres party state in-charge Digvijay accompanied with Vijayashanthi and said that she has blessings of Sonia.
The merger plan appeared to have suffered a setback yesterday amid conflicting versions on the issue from both the parties.TRS is not in a mood to respond for merger call and both the parties decided to go on their way.
Not only this many clues are out that no member of TRS party is fully desired over the merging the TRS into congress. It seems, even KCR didnt submit his final decision to the central government over the merger of the party. Vijayashanthi won the 2009 Lok Sabha polls on the TRS ticket from Medak in Telangana. She was expelled from the TRS, a few months ago. Vijayashanthi was earlier with the BJP and was even a member of its national executive during the regime of the NDA government at the Centre.
So with the recent incident it was quite clear that presently no merger is going to happen.
