Celebrities try to cash their popularity by attending the launches of showrooms and other business related activities. There is nothing wrong in doing so as their presence would garner the attention of the people and that particular brand would become popular instantly.
The problem is with few celebs who neglect the events even after charging hefty pay packages. Recently, Sridevi was invited for the launch of Tollywood channel as one of the chief guests and she was paid Rs 30 lakhs. Organisers were shocked to know she left the venue 20 minutes before the launch and they were also forced to pay the flight fares of 11 members (including family and staff) of the actress.
Sridevi charged Rs 30 lakhs for 20 minutes appearance. Athiloka Sundari knows the value of time and money better than anyone.
