High Competition for membership in TTD Trust!
By: Tupaki Desk | 14 Sep 2021 12:11 PM GMTOne of the richest temples in the world, the holy shrine of Lord Venkateswara, is run by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams(TTD). The trust takes care of all the arrangements in the temple for the festivals and famous occasions. There has been a tradition that famous people across the fields had earlier held the position of TTD chairman.
Besides this, famous people show their interest in serving in the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams(TTD) trust as they see this as an honour. This in turn results in the high demand for the posts in the temple trust.
The tenure of the TTD Trust members will be of two years. While the ruling YSRCP government in Andhra Pradesh had extended the tenure of Y.V. Subbareddy as the TTD chairman providing him a chance to serve the Kaliyuga Daivam Venkateswara Swamy.
The Andhra Pradesh government which is said to be focusing on fulfilling the nominated posts in the temple trust is reportedly aiming to increase the count of the members in the trust enabling more people to be a part of the divine work.
The demand and fight to get a slot in the trust as a member is so high that the Andhra Pradesh government is reportedly getting letters from a lot of Union Ministers. Letters from the neighboring states like Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Maharashtra were also being received by the government.
It is said that seeing the demand for the posts in the TTD trust, the Andhra Pradesh Government is making wise moves in appointing the members. The members nominated by the Union Ministers are being the top pick by the government as the government will have to meet the Union Ministers for the issues that deal with the interests of the state like the permissions for the projects, GST debts, and Polavaram project.
To make sure that the major share of the members in the trust will get the post in the TTD, the government is also likely to increase the count of the invitees in the TTD. Even the political circles are closely observing the developments in the TTD appointments row to know how the appointments will take place.
