High Court blasts AP Government on new G.O!
By: Tupaki Desk | 24 Sep 2021 12:53 PM GMTThe High Court blasting the Andhra Pradesh government is not a new thing and it's a never-ending story. We have seen the state government facing the ire of the court on various issues in the recent past. Another issue joined the list where the High Court came down severely on the government.
A few educational institutions in the state had knocked on the doors of the Andhra Pradesh High Court challenging the Government Order issued by the government to bring the aided educational institutions under its purview. The petition came for the hearing on Friday.
During the arguments, the High Court bench had maintained that they can see the pressure faced by the educational institutions to take them into their control. While the government is saying that they are taking acceptance letters from the institutions that are ready for this, the ground reality is different.
To tell the court that the acceptance from the educational institutions are being taken forcefully, the lawyer representing the petitioners had submitted the proceedings issued by the Kadapa District Educational Officer(DEO).
Satisfied with the arguments placed by the petitioners' lawyer, the High Court said it's not fair on the government’s part to bring such Government Orders and maintained that acceptance cannot be taken forcefully.
The Andhra Pradesh High Court had adjourned the next hearing in the case to the 29th of this month and directed the Director of School Education to appear before the court to give an explanation on the new G.O.
