CBN takes U-Turn after High Court shocker

AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu received a setback in High Court over the withdrawal of cases booked against 273 TDP Leaders.
After coming to power, TDP Government passed a GO withdrawing cases filed against several TDP Leaders. Orders granting clean chit to Ruling Party Leaders have been passed by District Collectors. This include cases booked against Speaker Kodela, Deputy CM KE Krishnamurthy, Ministers Devineni Uma, Kollu Ravindra, Nakka Anand Babu, Atchannaidu and Ganta Srinivas Rao. An MLA is charged with rape and murder case.
YSR Congress Mangalagiri MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy filed a PIL in Hyderabad High Court against the GO issued by AP Government. Then, HC made it clear State Government doesn't have the powers to withdraw criminal cases. Counsel of AP Government argued Allu Ramakrishna Reddy filed the petition due to political motive. Soon, High Court said it is willing to take up the suo moto case. That's when AP Government informed High Court that it would halt the process of withdrawing cases against TDP Leaders in the lower courts.
