A senior lawyer moved the Andhra Pradesh High Court in connection with the alleged phone tapping row, which has been creating a sensation in Andhra Pradesh for a few weeks.

The High Court after hearing the Public interest Litigation (PIL), served notice to 16 people, including the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Service providers, and Internet service provider association President.

The Court directed them to give a reply within four weeks of time and asked them to appear before the court either personally or through the lawyers.

As per media reports, when asked about the evidence, the petitioner told the court that he will file an affidavit with all the information

While serving notices to the state government, the Chief Justice made some interesting remarks. He asked the Advocate General why the court should not call for a trail.
