High Court Slams Andhra Pradesh Government!

A PIL finding fault with the government issuing orders to withdraw cases against public representatives was filed with the court. The court took serious note of it and slammed the government.
It is known that the YSRCP has been withdrawing cases against the leaders since the party came to power. The party even withdrew cases including serious cases against its leaders. Earlier, the party was bashed by the High Court on this.
Coming to the new PIL, the petitioner said teh government withdrawing cases against the party members is a serious issue and mentioned how the High Court said the practice is wrong.
During the hearing, the counsel representing the government reportedly said the Government Orders dealing with the withdrawal of cases against the legislators are canceled. This brought a big clarity to the issue and the cases would be brought again.
In the past, the government issued GOs saying that the cases filed against the party members when they were in opposition were withdrawn. The issue reached the High Court after the court took suo moto cognizance of the issue and asked what made the government decide without taking permission from the High Court.
