Questioning why the state government failed to implement the directives issued by the court to control the virus spread, the court asked why the uniform fee for treatment at the hospitals was not implemented.
The bench expressed its concern on how the individuals are struggling to pay for the treatment for the virus and asked why the Government Order to reverse the maximum hospital charges to treat Covid-19 patients was not issued so far.
The High Court also found fault with no advisory committee being constituted in the state and sought when 14 new RT-PCR laboratories start functioning.
The Court expressed dissatisfaction with the report filed by the medical and health department and rapped the government for implementing the suggestions given by the court earlier. Won't the government do anything now, the court questioned.
On top of this, the bench said, the details provided by the government on the action plan to tackle the third wave of the virus are not satisfactory. The bench asked, what are the steps taken by the government to ramp up the facilities at the Niloufer hospital.
