High Court Stays Decision in Roja Suspension Case

A divsion bench of the AP-TS Joint High Court on Tuesday admitted the appeal filed by the Andhra Pradesh government and the court issued a stay on the single judge decision that squashed the Speaker's order.The bench observed that the issue can't be decided purely on technical grounds.The court said that the single bench decision was not valid.
Roja was suspended from Assembly for a year after making derogatory comments against AP CM. She approached high court challenging the suspension and Justice A. Ramalingeswar Rao of the Hyderabad High Court stayed the operation of the orders passed against Roja. With divisional bench suspending the earlier order once gain Roja landed in trouble.
