High-Handed MLAs Bring Bad Name To TRS
By: Tupaki Desk | 29 July 2020 6:31 AM GMTThe ruling TRS in Telangana is worried about the image of lumpens and goons that the party leaders are getting in the media. Of late, several TRS leaders have misbehaved with the officials and ordinary citizens and have brought disrepute to the party.
Despite having a firm grip over the print and electronic media in the state, the reports and clippings of these incidents of highhandedness are going viral on the social media and the party is fighting itself unable to win the battle of perception. MLA and former minister Danam Nagender is in the eye of the storm for trying to obstruct the handing over of the house auctioned by a nationalised bank to a buyer. Almost at the same time, a person, who claimed to be KTR's PA abused and threatened doctors in a hospital in Warangal. KTR had not so far denied that the assailant was not his PA. Serilingampally MLA Arekapudi Gandhi and MLA Koneru Konappa's brother were involved in attacking officials over land related issues.
The party leadership is now waking up to the reality that all these are causing great damage to the party's image. The party leadership is said to have warned its leaders not to tarnish the image of the party and be discreet in their dealings.
