German touch for High-Speed South Corridor!

Germany's Transport Minister Alexander Dobrindt met Union Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu at Rail Bhavan.
Actually, The initial proposal was to construct a corridor linking Mysuru-Bengaluru-Chennai. Now, Its been extended to Vijayawada. The proposed corridor will be 906-km long and runs at a speed of over 300 km per hour.
German Railways conveyed its willingness to conduct feasibility study on speed upgradation on existing tracks in India. It offered cooperation in infrastructure development and IT solutions. India and Germany have reached an understanding on forming a group 'Zero Accident Mission' to ensure safety for Indian Railways.
