Section 144 in Kirlampudi: Chalo Amaravati?

TDP Leadership pledged BC Status for Kapus during 2014 Elections. 3 Years have passed but this poll promise is yet to be implemented. Mudragada Padmanabham has been leading the Kapu Movement from the front. He declared 'Chalo Amaravati' Padayatra which is scheduled to be launched on July 26th will be the last attempt in achieving the goal.

State Government is doing everything it can to foil 'Chalo Amaravati'. Police Department warned Kapus & Opposition Leaders not to take part in the padayatra citing lack of permission for it. Notices have been served to leaders of YSR Congress & Left Parties in East Godavari district.

Section 144 is implemented in Kirlampudi since 3 days. Several Checkposts have been arranged on the roads leading to Kirlampudi to prevent Outsiders from entering the village. Bindover Cases have been booked against Kapu Leaders to stop them from taking part in Padayatra. Hundreds of cops have been deployed in East Godavari to take the protesters into custody. What will Mudragada Padmanabham do now? Does he have any plans to counter the restrictions imposed by Police Department? Wait till July 26th!
