India Reports 331 Fatalities In A Single Day

The positive cases of the pandemic are increasing rapidly in India and the country is even making new records in positive cases. India straightaway reported more than 9,000 cases for three consecutive days.
The sharp rise of the fatalities is also increasing many fears and concerns about the spread of the virus. In the past 24 hours, 331 people succumbed to the dreaded virus.
What's even shocking is that this is the highest single day fatalities reported in India in connection with the pandemic.
Talking about the positive cases, the count reached 2,66,598, while the active cases stood at 1,29,917. To date, 7466 succumbed to the dreaded virus. On a brighter note 1,29,215 people recovered from the virus so far.
Maharashtra continues to be the worst affected state as the total cases are heading towards the 90,000-mark. This translates to around one-third of the total cases in the country.
Tamil Nadu, New Delhi, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan turned out as the worst affected states in the country followed by Maratha land. These states reported a sharp rise in cases in the past 24 hours.
