Fringe Groups have made it a habit to create an issue out of nothing. The protests against 'Padmavati' for alleged distortion of facts and Censor Issues forced the makers to delay the release. Now, Another feature film is facing similar threat for just naming the roles Ram and Sita.

Hindu Jagran Manch has been objecting naming of two characters in Bengali film 'Rong Beronger Kori' after Lord Ram and Goddess Sita. A protest was staged outside the Censor Board Office in Kolkata demanding change in names of characters. The Outfit even wrote a letter to Information & Broadcasting Minister Smriti Irani alleging the flick hurts the sentiments of Hindus.

Whereas, Director Ranjan Ghosh is in no mood to make any changes fearing the threats issues by Hindu Outfit. He clarifies 'Rong Beronger Kori' doesn't have mythological connection and only the names of two characters in one of the four stories have been named Ram and Sita. 'Will they want to change the names of people who are known as Ram, Sita, Lakshman and Saraswati in our daily life? It's like curbing creative freedom,' he opined.

'Rong Beronger Kori' stars Rituparna Sengupta, Chiranjit Chakraborty, Ritwik Chakraborty and Arunima Ghosh.
