HMDA To Construct Skywalk At Uppal Junction

Pearl City Hyderabad is gearing up to get another special attraction with the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) making efforts to construct a skywalk.
The HMDA received administrative approval for the skywalk project from Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao who also holds Industries and IT&C ministries.
The Skywalk will be constructed at the Uppal junction. It is believed that the pedway would be 660 meters and the skyway will be connecting all the four sides at the junction.
MA&UD Principal Secretary Arvind Kumar took to micro-blogging site Twitter to share the news of the Skywalk getting the administrative approval. Along with the Tweet, he shared a picture of the proposed skywalk structure.
"Skywalk @Uppal x-road accorded administrative sanction by Minister @KTRTRS .. it's 660 mtrs and will connect all sides incl Metro station ..Taken up by @HMDA Gov and Bids are being called for ..Will take about a year for completion," his Tweet read.
The Bids for the Skywalk construction were underway and the projected will be completed in a year.
