Forget about Pok, Hoist Tri-Colour in Srinagar first!
By: Tupaki Desk | 28 Nov 2017 8:38 AM GMTJammu and Kashmir former CM Farooq Abdullah challenged Centre to hoist the National Flag at Lal Chowk in Srinagar if it can before making tall claims about unfurling it in Pak-occupied Kashmir (PoK). He made it clear PoK could never become a part of India. 'They talk about hoisting Indian Flag in PoK. Let them first unfurl tricolour at Lal Chowk in Srinagar. They can't do that here, but keep talking about PoK. PoK doesn't belong to us and this part of J&K can't be a part of Pakistan. Let them live in the untruth if they don't want to hear truth,' he said.
When quizzed if he is hurting the Indian Sentiment by making such comments, Farooq Abdullah shot back: 'Do you think I am not an Indian? Who's sentiments are you talking about? Those crooks who can't see the miseries of people living in the border'.
Asked about the killing of Army Man in Srinagar recently, Mr.Abdullah suggested Media to ask Centre about it as the government claimed peace has been restored after demonetisation.
Whereas, Jammu & Kashmir Deputy CM Nirmal Singh opined Farooq Abdullah's remarks favour supporting Separatists and Militants. He clarified National Flag was hoisted all over the state including Lal Chowk.
