The pearl city Hyderabad is the most preferred destination for many which make the availability of houses for rent quite difficult. But things have gone upside down for the Telangana capital now.
The city, where people once struggled finding rooms for rent is going through a tough situation and to-let boards outside houses have become a common thing now. The situation is the same for all the major areas in pearl city.
The ongoing second wave of the novel Coronavirus, which has hit the city very hard has to be blamed for the situation. With the rise in new infections, employees, students, and others are heading to their native places resulting in a deadly impact on the rental sector.
With this situation, the owners are willing to give houses and rooms for rent for fewer rents than the pre-second-wave rents. The owners have opted for this decision as they felt it is good to lose some amount instead of keeping the houses vacant.
A major share of employees has left to their native places with the second wave situation. They are receiving salaries with a pay cut making it more difficult for them to pay rent.
With this, the owners and tenants are also going through a tough situation. Hyderabad saw to-let boards earlier when the lockdown was imposed in the state as part of the nationwide lockdown.
