The Andhra Pradesh wing of the Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) has come down severely on the YSRCP government for allotting Rs 17 months towards the treatment of the controversial film critics.
AP BJP Chief Somu Veerraju found fault with diverting the funds from Chief Minister Relief Fund(CMRF) for Kathi Mahesh. He questioned why the government gave money to a person who has a costly house and luxury car.
'The Chief Minister(Jagan) is not worried about the public who are unable to pay the charges for the treatment for Coronavirus. But when Kathi Mahesh is undergoing treatment, the government has sanctioned money for the treatment of the film critic. Why is the government concerned about him,' Somu Veerraju said.
Adding further, state chief Somu Veerraju questioned, what the Chief Minister Relief Fund, which is meant to lend a helping hand for the real beneficiaries is being misused by the government.
