How did Power Consumption Come Down in AP suddenly?
By: Tupaki Desk | 10 May 2022 12:25 PM GMTHinting at the alleged mismanagement of power supply, Telugu state Andhra Pradesh was hit by the power crisis. Despite households, the industries also had to face the heat of the issue as a power holiday was imposed to deal with the growing demand of current.
As a piece of good news for the industries and firms in the state, the government said that the power holiday has been lifted and the industries will now get the power without any issues. The concerned Minister said the same while talking to the media on the issue earlier today.
Energy Minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy said that the power consumption had reduced and hence the power holiday was lifted. Having said that, the Cabinet Minister told the press that the industries can now get the power supply without any interruption from now.
While it is good news for the industries, the Minister had recently said that there is a power deficit in the state and that's why the households are facing issues with the power supply. He had urged people to understand the situation.
Cut to a few weeks later, the same Minister is now saying that the power usage had dipped in the state. One wonders how the power usage came down all of a sudden. On the other hand, the government did not buy extra power from the suppliers. Many doubt that the power crisis might come back with industries being provided with the current.
