By: Tupaki Desk | 12 July 2022 8:06 AM GMTThe Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, who is facing criticism from the opposition mainly the grand old Telugu Desam Party has used his Trump card now and this made the TDP follow the footsteps of the YSRCP.To trick the opposition Telugu Desam Party, the YSRCP started taking the opinion into the public that the welfare schemes would be stopped if Telugu Desam comes to power.
Looking at the impact the welfare schemes have on the public when it comes to voting in the polls, the opposition Telugu Desam also started batting for the welfare schemes. The Telugu Desam Party which has been criticizing the welfare schemes is now ensuring that it will continue the schemes.
Not just promising the welfare schemes, the opposition parties also said that it would do better in terms of welfare schemes. It is a big chance in the stand of the Telugu Desam Party on the welfare schemes. The party which is a strong opposer to the welfare schemes was forced to change its stand on the same.
Keeping the debate of the burden on the economy aside, the YSRCP has made a strong vote across the communities with the Navaratnalu schemes. As the communities are enjoying the fruits of the schemes, they will vote for the YCP no matter what. The YSRCP hit two birds with a single shot.
In one shot, YCP inculcated fear among the beneficiaries that they would lose the schemes if the party doesn't come to power, and indirectly the beneficiaries got a message that they should vote for YCP if they want the schemes.
The second shot is that the Telugu Desam Party was forced to promise the welfare schemes and continue the same even better than the YSRCP led by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Ironically, Telugu Desam Party lashed out at the YSRCP earlier over the schemes and even predicted that Andhra Pradesh would not take much time to turn another Sri Lanka to go through a massive financial crisis. Now, the grand old Telugu Desam Party took a big turn on the schemes and is now promising the continuation of schemes.
