How Ravi Prakash Escaped Arrest?
By: Tupaki Desk | 23 May 2019 4:15 AM GMTLooks like, Nothing has been working for Ravi Prakash ever since cases were booked against him by Alandha Media which acquired majority stake in ABCL which operates TV9.
As per media reports, Ravi Prakash's Counsel Daljit Ahluwalia informed the court that his client had run away by jumping the wall when Cops attempted to arrest him in the TV9 Studio few days ago. He argued that cases were booked against Ravi Prakash with vested interests and hence his client is eligible for bail. Ahluwalia told NCLT has to decide whether the documents are forged or not, instead of cops.
Whereas, Public Prosecutor C Prathap Reddy informed about the notices served by Cops under sections 160 and 41-A. He appealed the Court to issue orders asking Ravi Prakash to appear before the police for recording his statement. Prathap Reddy told Ravi Prakash has been influencing the witnesses through WhatsApp messages.
Upon hearing both the arguments, High Court dismissed all the three petitions moved by Ravi Prakash seeking bail. Now, The Ex-CEO might approach the Supreme Court.
