Huge Betting On Dubbak Bypolls
By: Tupaki Desk | 6 Nov 2020 11:10 AM GMTUnlike any bypoll, the betting rings are highly active this time. The people are hedging their bets on who will win and what would be the winning margin in Dubbak bypoll. Usually, there is a huge betting for assembly and lok sabha elections, but not for bypolls. But, in the case of Dubbak, there is unusual interest across the two Telugu states.
Interestingly, there is lot of interest in places like Bhimavaram also. Initially, the people had bet their money on the TRS and gradually, the number of people betting on the BJP has gone up. The victory margin of the TRS candidate too has come down from 50000 to 20000. Currently most of those betting on TRS are putting their money on 20000 victory margin. In case of those betting on the BJP, the victory margin is 5000 to 15000.
Interestingly, there are some people who have bet their money on whether TV celebrity Kathi Karthika, who contested as an independent, would get more than 1000 votes or not. Whether the Congress gets back its deposit money too is a very hotly debated issue. The betting market is predicting Dubbak to be a close fight with odds marginally stacked in favour of the TRS.
